Photos from Jeanne Lanvin's private library in Paris.  I love his collection of old Parisian fashion books.  I can only imagine how cool this place is in person.

American Apparel Halloween Costumes

It's the time of year again where people are carving pumpkins, decorating their homes with spooky lights  and American Apparel is displaying their famous costumes.

Here's some of my favorites, it really is crazy how you can make such cool costumes out of simple clothes.

Katy Perry's wedding dress

Rumor has it Katy Perry got married in this gray Elie Saab couture gown over the weekend in India.  I feel like it's pretty fitting for her and her Indian themed wedding, what do you think?

Spring 2011 Bridal Season

It's that time of the year again where designers show bridal collections that make you want to find the closest good looking man and marry him so you can wear one of these to die for gowns.

I'm anxiously awaiting the Vera Wang collection, but for now here's three designers who I think have some of the most beautiful dresses so far.

The Neverending Miu Miu Dress

This Miu Miu dress has literally been everywhere.  It's been seen on model after model and cover after cover.  Miu Miu always seems to dominate editorials, and I think it's safe to say that this dress is getting just as much coverage as the cat/sparrow prints from last season.

Anna Dello Russo in W

"For Dello Russo, if you’re not new, you’re about as good as dead. 'I hate vintage clothes,' she says, referring even to last year’s Prada. “I love the smell of a new store, not an old dress." - W Magazine

Closet Confessions: Kelly Osbourne

I'm way too obsessed with Bluefly's Closet Confessions.  Kelly Osbourne is so charming and endearing in this video, check it out.

Georgia May Jagger for Harper's Bazaar U.S.

Giedre Dukauskaite for Bon International

Shot by Benny Horne, and Giedre is wearing all Proenza Schouler.

Project Hyphen: Asians in Fashion

I attended a fashion show Monday night as part of Asian Kaleidoscopic Month that featured clothes from three Asian designers, including Jay Nicolas Sario who was on season seven of "Project Runway."

Below is the piece I wrote on it for my class and some photos of the fun event:

NSFW: Behind the Scenes Making of the Pirelli Calendar

Terry Richardson shot the coveted Pirelli calendar this year, and he enlisted the help of Abbey Lee Kershaw, Miranda Kerr, Catherine McNeil, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Daisy Lowe (along with many others).

Although Terry Richardson's photos can be pretty vulgar at times, and there are some photos in here involving roosters and bananas that don't go with my opinion, but I think he managed to make the women look strong and beautiful instead of complete sex objects.

Personally, I tend to focus on the photo as a whole before I even realize there is nudity in it.  Also, the cutest photos of sloths ever are in this calendar, so they are worth looking at if only for the love of the sleepy, adorable creatures.

As a side note, I think the dress in the second to last picture is absolutely stunning.

Crystal Renn for The Block Magazine

About two months ago, I posted a video of Crystal Renn dancing in the body suit she is wearing in the final picture.  Now, the spread is finally online, talk a look at all the awesomeness that is Crystal.

Celine Spring 2011

Phoebe Philo can do no wrong.

I think her collection for Celine was stunning.  I love how she uses minimalism, but her clothes are still interesting.

The back on the first outfit is so great and sexy, but in a reserved way that seems to be Philo's gift, making beautiful clothes that are still subtle.  My favorite pieces are definitely the last two.

What do you think?

Arlenis Sosa for Elle U.S.

Shot by Carter Smith.

Alana Zimmer for Vogue Spain

I love this spread that channels the film "Grey Gardens." It was shot by Mark Seliger, and I think he did a great job capturing Little Edie's style.

LOVE: Anne Hathaway for Vogue U.S.

I love this shoot by Mario Testino for the November issue of Vogue.  Anne Hathaway is so beautiful, and the last picture is by far my favorite.

Vogue has a great video on their website right now that gives a great behind the scenes look and some background on Anne Hathaway's new movie coming out (which I really, really want to see!).

Preview: Lanvin for H&M

The excitement is building, I cannot wait to see this whole collection!

Coco Rocha's Gramercy Park Apartment

I am obsessed with Coco Rocha and James Conran's Gramercy Park apartment.  I think it's so fitting for her, and I love how she decorates her home with vintage finds.

Obsessed: Lanvin Spring 2011

I am in love with the pleated and flowy dresses Lanvin put out for its spring 2011 collection.
The color palette is so awesome, and I love the unique zippers on the dresses.

I can't wait for Lanvin's collection with H&M, so I can own some of the awesomeness that Alber Elbaz creates.

The shoes are amazing too, and I'll be making a post about all my favorite shoes from Paris Fashion Week soon!

Ashlee Simpson's pixie cut

Ashlee Simpson's jumping on the pixie cut bandwagon, and although I have liked almost every one of her hair styles since I first saw her on TV in a tutu, I think this new style is edgy and suits her.

What do you think??

Natasha Poly for Lanvin H&M Video

Can it be Nov. 2 now so I can marvel at the Lanvin for H&M collection?

There aren't any H&M's in the two cities that I alternate between living in, so I might have to make a day trip to check out this, what I'm sure will be, insane collection when it hits stores.

Here's a video featuring Natasha Poly (although the clothes are blurred out) promoting the new line.

The Row Spring 2011

Here's a video of the Olsens talking about The Row.

I adore them so much and their collection this year was amazing.  Their clothes look so comfortable and chic.  I am obsessed with the white pleated maxi dress.

Below are some photos of it.  What do you think?

The shoes and hair of Alexander McQueen Spring 2011

Check out the amazing basket-weave hair the models for the Alexander McQueen show had.  Seriously, if I thought I could do that to my hair, I totally would one day.

Also, the shoes... ugh the shoes.  The butterfly ones and the black crazy looking ones are my favorites.

Kaleidoscopic Fashion Spectacular

This video is amazing, it's worth 5 minutes of your time to watch what an awesome show Target put on at the Standard Hotel.

Alexander McQueen Spring 2011

Don't be fooled by the photos below, the Alexander McQueen spring 2011 collection was anything but tame.

If you read my post earlier, go through the collection again, because the beauty is really in the details (especially the butterfly dress which is to die for!).

This was Sarah Burton's first collection that she did entirely on her own for McQueen, and she didn't disappoint.  There was no over-the-top theatrics, just great, well-tailored, and beautiful clothes.

I can only imagine how difficult it must be to take over the reigns of a label that had so much uniqueness and ingenuity behind it, but I think Burton did a great job.

The hair and shoes were so awesome in themselves that I am going to make a separate post for them.
