Get the look: Coachella Fashion

Today I ventured into the new Forever 21 in Gainesville and almost went into shock at how much bigger it'd become.  I went from room to room and grabbed way too many things, but I was inspired by the themed rooms to post my follow-up on Coachella.  Here's some photos of my favorite festival looks from Harpers Bazaar and cheap trendy ways to rock the looks from Forever 21.  Enjoy!

**Oh and as a side note, I see ANTM's Nicole is the new model for Forever 21, not sure when this happened but I guess that's what reality TV will get you.

Bergdorf Goodman's Alexander McQueen Window

In honor of the new Met exhibit, which I am dying to see, Bergdorf Goodman is working on an Alexander McQueen window in time for the Costume Gala.  It looks like it's incredible!

Fall 2011 Bridal Collections (part two)

Although Monique Lhuillier's dresses might be my favorite from the season, here's a look at some more gorgeous ones to take in before the wedding spell of Kate and William wears off.

Kate Middleton wore McQueen!

Last night as time was ticking down toward the nuptials, my roommate and I of course, put in our two cents as to what Kate Middleton would wear.  We both hoped for an Alexander McQueen gown similar to the ones below, but we knew Kate wouldn't give that to us.  So we went through her lookbook on the Internet, and I said I hoped she wore something strapless and pretty, but my roommate pointed out she was a fan of longer sleeves.  So we put together a dress that had sleeves but made of lace and was simple, and somehow as if Sarah Burton conjured are wish, this is what Kate stepped out in this morning.  It was a dress fit for a fairy tale.  Congratulations William and Kate!

Midnight in Paris

In honor of the new Woody Allen movie staring Owen Wilson, "Midnight in Paris," which premieres at the Cannes Film Festival next month, here's a look at some of my favorite editorials and photos inspired by the magical city that I love so much.

Fall 2011 Bridal Collections (part one)

Over the weekend I went home to see my family for Easter and of course, the topic of the royal wedding came up.  Everyone came to the consensus that they couldn't care less about the royal wedding, except me. My defense was that they all got to see Diana get married, and so they've seen what a royal wedding's like.

However, I have to say I am the most excited to see Kate's dress, and it's got a lot to live up to.  So in honor of the nuptials that will take place tomorrow, here's a look at some of my favorite bridal gowns from the fall 2011 bridal collection.

Happy Royal Wedding everyone!  I'll post some more gorgeous looks later!

Monique Lhuillier
Seriously, so gorgeous.  I would wear every single one of these dresses.  I am secretly hoping Kate's looks like peach ruffly one, but I have a feeling she might go for something simple, but she's surprised everyone along the way, so maybe she'll step out in some dynamite Alexander McQueen look.

Summer's here!

So I have to apologize for my lack of posting in the month of April, school was so overwhelming.  But an hour ago I finished my last final, and now it's officially summer!  Here's some photos from The Cobra Snake's Coachella coverage to get you in the mood for your upcoming summer vacations.

Happy Belated Birthday Grace!

April 14 was Grace Coddington's 70th birthday.  She's so amazing, and it's incredible that she's still doing her job and doing it so well.

Here's a look at photos of Grace through the years.  I'll post photos from her birthday party next.

Happy Coachella!

My favorite (and I think most fashionable) music festival starts today.  I've been dreaming of going to Coachella since I was 16, and hopefully one day I'll be able to blog from it, but for now, here's a look at some of my favorite photos from past Coachellas by Mark Hunter.

Also, if you're going tell me how fun it is!  And I'll be posting a guide to Coachella style once they start posting photos because it's the perfect look for summer.

Gainesville Fashion Week 2011

Here's some photos I took at Gainesville Fashion Week Saturday night.  It was definitely the best GFW I've ever been to.  I wrote about it for my internship, check it out here.  Also, Irving Chase of Whitley Denise gave me a shirt at the event, and it's so pretty!  I'll post it later.

Wildfox Couture takes us back to Sweet Valley High

If anyone knows how to put out an awesome lookbook it's Wildfox Couture, what with their last Marie Antoinette-inspired lookbook, this trip back to Sweet Valley High is making me crave summer and throwing me back to the day when I used to wear "California Girl" T-shirts even though I'm from Florida.

Anyways, enjoy!

Get the look: Tribal Prints

One of my favorite looks this season is tribal prints.  They are the perfect way to spice up an outfit or make it more bohemian.  Here's some of the ways to incorporate the look into your outfit, whether it be turquoise jewelry or printed sandals.
