Bad Times for PETA

It's day two of New York Fashion Week and already a few designers have sent out lines with tons of fur. Chado Ralph Rucci is probably most guilty, but Wayne didn't go light on fur either. Both designers sent out looks embellished with fur or with fur coats. Personally, I think fur is a very glamorous look, but there's nothing wrong with rocking some faux fur instead. I'm sure a lot of members of PETA will not be pleased with the new trend for Fall.

The Return of Camo

It's sad but it's officially true, camouflage has returned to the runway for Fall 2010.
I'm not sure about anybody else, but I look back on the days when I wore camo and feel ashamed. I had pink camo, blue camo, and of course green camo, but is camo really a good look?
Obviously, I have to say no, but we have to face the facts, army inspired looks are have returned.

Kirsten Dunst is so perfect. I love the dress she wears when they are walking up the stairs.

RIP Alexander McQueen

Today should be a happy day for fashionistas. However, the suicide of Alexander McQueen casts a gray shadow over the fashion world. He was only 40 years old.

In New York, the last Bryant Park fashion show is kicking off today, and it is the essentially Christmas Day for fashion lovers, but the loss of McQueen is devastating. The extremely talented and creative designer had one of the best and most talked about fashion shows in Paris last season. Recently, his designs have been everywhere, whether on Lady Gaga in her infamous "Bad Romance" video or on Lindsay Lohan for her spread in Purple Magazine. The loss of McQueen is one that will not be replaced.

Twitter flooded with tweets honoring the late designer, and while Fashion Week must go on, the days will be a little gloomier without the genius that was Alexander McQueen.

This is so sad.
