Stella McCartney Resort 2011

Bloggers are going crazy over Stella McCartney's Resort 2011 collection, and I'm about to jump on the bandwagon. I wasn't crazy about the printed dresses but they look much better in the photos by Hanneli Mustaparta. I love all the minimalism this season and the white dresses, which I will follow up on later.

California Gurls Video

Check out Katy Perry's video for California Gurls. I'm a little surprised she took her video in this direction considering there are a lot of cute things that could be done in California, but I guess credit is due for being original.

I am also not sure what this new fad is of attaching large objects to bras. Katy Perry uses cupcakes and whip cream, Lady Gaga used machine guns.

Who will be the next celebrity to jump on the band wagon? I'm thinking Rihanna.

Somewhere Trailer

Looking forward to this new film by Sofia Coppola. I always think are movies are so pretty but a little lacking on the dialogue and plot. However, I am always happy to watch something aestetically pleasing. Oh and by the way, Elle Fanning looks like she's about 18 but really she is 12. I keep forgetting the Fanning sisters aren't five years old anymore.

LOVE: J. Mendel Resort 2011

So, I am back from New York. Sorry for the lack of posts, I didn't have a whole lot of free time in the big city. Luckily, we are in the midst of resort wear shows, and while I'm a little behind with looking through all the exciting new pieces, I have to confess my love for J. Mendel.

I loooove all of J. Mendel's dresses. They are so sleek and pretty. I think my favorite is the orange evening gown.
