Things I love right now: fishtail braids, bohemian style, dip dyed hair, messy hair, little details and antique floral patterns.

Get the look: Prada Spring 2011
Here's some pieces I found that are similar to the extremely popular Prada Spring 2011 collection but way cheaper. This season's trends are bold and bright colors, color blocking and thick stripes.

T by Alexander Wang Lookbook
Alexander Wang rules and so does this collection. Not exactly eloquent, I know, but really check it out, it's super wearable and on trend with all the white for spring. I love the long skirts and T-shirt dresses.

Elizabeth Taylor: Saying goodbye to a style icon
Elizabeth Taylor died this morning at the age of 79, and she leaves behind a legacy as a style icon who captured the '50s better than anyone with her shapely figure. She continued to break barriers by trying new things and wearing some outlandish fashions. She was a gorgeous woman who will never be forgotten.
Stolen Girlfriends Club invade a supermarket
So I think first of all this would be awesome to be grocery shopping after a mundane day and then all of the sudden, bam! you're hit with a fashion show. However, I'm not sure how happy I'd be if one of those models walked by me in the snacks aisle loading my cart with carbs. I don't think I'd enjoy my bag of goldfish quite as much after that experience, but anyways, this is awesome, check it out!

Top Five Models of Fashion Month: Daphne Groeneveld
My favorite model from all the fashion shows has to be Daphne Groeneveld. I mentioned her at the end of the year as one of my favorite models and I hoped she'd be seen a lot more, but I never would have imagined I'd see her walking in almost every major runway show. Daphne walked in Chanel, Valentino, Nina Ricci, Emilio Pucci and Alexander Wang to name a few. She's gorgeous and versatile, and I have a feeling we'll be seeing her in a lot more editorials after such a successful runway season.
Opening Ceremony Spring 2011 Lookbook
I'm obsessed with Opening Ceremony's spring 2011 lookbook. The clothes are so cool and quirky. I'd wear all of them if I could, it's definitely a collection worth checking out.

Top Five Models of Fashion Month: Joan Smalls
Joan Smalls is absolutely stunning, and she's my fourth favorite model of fashion month. She has such strong features but is surprisingly versatile. She walked in some major shows including Nina Ricci, Balmain, Emilio Pucci and Viktor & Rolf.
i-D Spring Covers
I love i-D's spring covers featuring Lady Gaga and models such as Anja Rubik, Karlie Kloss, Jourdan Dunn. I just think the line "more clothes inside" is so clever. I'll definitely be picking up a copy, hopefully with Lady Gaga or Anja.
Celine Fall 2011
Phoebe Philo is the queen of sophisticated simplicity, and she brings it to the forefront with her fall collection. I adore the coats and the patterned sweaters. I love the wood patterned fabric. I have to wonder if we will be seeing more of it since it came to the runway recently with Rodarte's spring collection. Looking at how well Philo makes a simple outfit stand out, it's no wonder that she's nominated for an CFDA International Award.

2011 CFDA Fashion Awards Nominess & Honorees

Prada Fantasy Lookbook
Here's the lookbook for one of the most memorable and most worn collections from spring 2011. Prada's bright and bold colors, thick-striped outfits and daring banana prints definitely catapulted the fashion world toward spring's technicolor trend.

Kate Moss for Dior's Addict Lipstick
Kate Moss looks stunning in this 90-second short for Dior's new Addict Lipstick. It was directed by Jonas Akerlund, the same guy who brought you Lady Gaga's awesome "Paparazzi" video.

Top five models of fashion month: Julia Saner
I never really recognized Julia Saner much, but after seeing her walk for Rodarte, a collection where every model looked beautiful, I thought she really stood out.
She's my third favorite model of fashion month because she walked in almost every major collection including Alexander McQueen, Costume National, Rodarte, Chanel and Valentino. I think she's gorgeous and a little different then the models I usually talk about (meaning she's not blonde with a gap between her front teeth). Here's a look at the awesome newcomer who I think we will be seeing a lot more of very soon.

Miu Miu Fall 2011
Miu Miu was all grown up this season as Miucca Prada took the label to a whole other more sophisticated level. While Miu Miu is distinctively young and fun, this season the collection seemed to be geared to a slightly older demographic, but it was still fabulous. The shoes are incredible, and the bird and dandelion prints are so great. While I don't think this collection has as much power as the last two collections, I think it's definitely going to have a solid showing as far as street style goes, especially the shoes.

Balmain Fall 2011
Balmain's collection is hip and edgy. I have a feeling come next season, Anna Dello Russo is going to be running around in one of those metalic jackets or outrageously detailed dresses.
Top five models of fashion month: Lindsey Wixson
As I've mentioned before, I love Lindsey Wixson, and she's my fourth favorite model of fashion month this seaosn.
She's so cute and unfortunately, she would be higher up if she hadn't had an allergic reaction that caused her to leave Paris Fashion Week early and miss out on the Chanel, Miu Miu and Alexander McQueen shows. Lindsey walked in so many shows this season including Jill Stuart, Viktor & Rolf (whose red face makeup I'm assuming caused her allergic reaction), Rodarte, Oscar de la Renta, Missoni, Rag & Bone and Prada. I hope to see her in a lot more editorials between this season and next.

Giambattista Valli Fall 2011
Giambattista Valli's fall collection is sleek and chic with awesome monochromatic looks. I love the ball gowns at the end of the collection and the different shapes of coats and dresses.
LOVE: Haider Ackermann Fall 2011
Haider Ackermann's fall collection was definitely one of my favorite of fall 2011. The collection is sexy but refined. I loved the glitter floor-length skirts with the cutouts and the chunky knit sweaters. The metalic fabrics are right on track for the fall trends, and while I'm not crazy about the thick belts, I love the cuts on the coats and the jackets.
Paris Fashion Week: Street Style (part one)
I found so many amazing street style photos from Paris Fashion Week that I've decided to split this post up in to a few sections, so here's part one of my favorite street style looks.

Top Five Models of Fashion Month: Josephine Skriver
I'm working on a series of my top five favorite models of fashion month. I'll start with Josephine Skriver as my number five. She was definitely my favorite newcomer on the runways. She walked for Gucci, Preen, Rag & Bone, opened for Alberta Ferretti and closed for Prada. I'm hoping she's going to be seen in more editorials because she made such a strong showing this season.
Chanel Fall 2011
Chanel went dark and semi-gothic this season, playing with a dark color palette on tweed suits and coats. The dresses are gorgeous with the lace and brocade details, not to mention the boots that are to die for. I like that Lagerfeld tried something different this season, it's dark, versatile and wearable, plus the runway was amazing (I'll post photos later).
Emmanuelle Alt's first Vogue Paris cover
It's not exactly the bold and colorful look that Carine Roitfeld was known for, but it's safe and it's Gisele. We'll see where Emmanuelle Alt can take Vogue Paris after Roitfeld's departure.

OBSESSED: Carven Fall 2011
Carven's collection is stunning and best of all, wearable. I love the plaids and the patterned knit sweaters. I'd wear everything in this collection, it's young and trendy, pretty but hip. Definitely one of my favorite collections from Paris Fashion Week.

Girls of Autumn/Winter 2011
Another great video by Justin Wu in collaboration with models.com. Check out some of the runway stars lip syncing to "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You."
LOVE: Nina Ricci Fall 2011
No one does pretty and feminine quite like Nina Ricci, and once again the newest collection is elegant and gorgeous. I'm obsessed with the color palette. The light blues mixed with the black and the deep metalic purple and burgundy are to die for.
Alexander McQueen Shoes
Reminiscent of the alien shoes in McQueen's last collection, Sarah Burton's dangerously tall and crazily cut shoes are to die for. However, being a semi-unstable person in heels, I'd totally be the girl that stabs her other foot with those crazy spikes on the back. My favorites are definitely the black feather heels with the silver backs.

OBSESSED: Alexander McQueen Fall 2011
If there was any doubt Sarah Burton couldn't live up to the name of Alexander McQueen, I would imagine it vanished Tuesday when she showcased her fall collection. With rumors swirling that Burton will be dressing Kate Middleton on her wedding day, I have to wonder if the gowns at the end were a preview of what's to come for the royal wedding. If Middleton really does wed in Alexander McQueen, I think it will show a new side to the royal family, a younger more modern side, that she has already done a great job promoting. Also, I'll do a separate post later, but the shoes in this collection were insane. Sarah Burton has really proven herself with this beautiful collection.
