Things I like part two

I think these three collections were great. I am a sucker for well-made and pretty party dresses, and I love the womenswear collection Band of Outsiders produced. Also, all I have to say about the Marc Jacobs gowns, "I die."

Betsey Johnson bandits

This season Betsey Johnson sent Western bandits down the runway.

While Betsey Johnson got an A+ for the show, I wasn't too pleased with her clothing, which is hard for me to say as an avid Betsey Johnson lover.

All my prom dresses were from Betsey Johnson, and I always dreamed of the day when I could walk down the street in cupcake dresses and not feel judged, but where are the dresses that made her collections lovable to girls who wanted to feel like princesses?

There were hints here and there of ruffles, and the dress Kelly Osbourne wore reminded me of a longer version of dresses Johnson used to make, but her party dresses were clearly absent. Johnson used bold prints and bright colors, but for me, the collection bordered tacky and unwearable, with a few looks being an exception.

Alexander McQueen scarf

Alexander McQueen scarves have been selling out everywhere.

I was debating all yesterday about buying one from Saks, but couldn't make up my mind. I decided to sleep on it, thinking it would not sell out by the morning, but I was wrong.

Come this morning, all the colors were sold out.

So, I bought one from Neiman Marcus. I'm still a little traumatized over the amount of money I spent on it, but I am telling myself it is a collector's item. If I had a job it would be different. Looks like I better find something lucrative to do this summer or else I'll be broke in the name of fashion.

Little Different Perspective

Personally, I think designers should always invite Mark "The Cobrasnake" to their shows, because he makes the clothes look amazing in his photos.

I look forward to his coverage of Fashion Week every season and he hasn't disappointed.
