Alexander Wang Spring 2011

So, in the last two days, I have been extremely surprised by two of my favorite labels, Rag and Bone and Alexander Wang.

For both, I am used to an edgier, street-chic, and mostly black color palette, but both went for splashes of color and lots of white (which if you haven't noticed yet has been the main color in every fashion show at New York Fashion Week).

Take a look at Alexander Wang's spring collection, the street side is still present, but he took his color palette in a whole different direction.

Some people are saying he "borrowed" concepts that were famous in the 90s, but I like the idea of combining something soft with hard, street elements.

I think he deserves praise for bringing back a style that we haven't seen in a very long time.
