Resort 2011: Miu Miu

So, unless we've been hiding under a rock the last few months we all know that Miu Miu's Spring 2010 collection contained some of the most photographed and sought after clothes and shoes.

Well, Miu Miu's Resort 2011 collection is full of prints again, except this time Miuccia Prada has gone for apples, hearts and polka dots.  I guess the old adage rings true: if it ain't broke don't fix it.

However, while this collection has a distinctly fun and feminine look to it, I'm not sure if it will have the mass appeal that the Spring 2010 collection had.  After all, I'd rather wear naked ladies and cats than apples and hearts, but you never know.

What do you think?

Resort 2011: Alexander McQueen

I've been unusually tired tonight but not tired enough to get off the internet and go to sleep at a reasonable hour.  So, my Friday night at home has led to a redesign of my blog and some time to go through the recent Resort additions.

All I have to say is bravo, Sarah Burton.  She represented Alexander McQueen beautifully with her first collection.  Earlier, I posted saying I thought it lacked McQueen's typical grandeur, but I am taking back my comment.  Now that I am looking at the entire collection, I think it's gorgeous and the clothing is shaped in a way that would make McQueen proud.

What do you think?

Some more of my favorite Resort Collections

Here's a few of my favorite more contemporary and edgy collections. I think the designers really out did themselves for the Resort collections, because there have really been some great looking and most importantly, wearable, looks being presented.
