LFW: Dark Florals at Christopher Kane, Erdem and Jonathan Saunders

Three designers I am always excited to see collections from are Christopher Kane, Erdem and Jonathan Saunders.  What I normally love from Erdem are their bright cheerful florals, but this season he took his signature look to a darker place and played with lots of deep blues and yellows.  Christopher Kane also followed suit putting out a collection that was rich in texture, hard in form but still girly with florals.  Jonathan Saunders also embraced the fall color palette and kept his collection feminine by also embracing the trend that just keeps coming back for more, florals.

London Fashion Week: Shoes

Here's a look at my favorite shoes of London Fashion Week.  It seemed like a lot of designers went for modern looks with metalic colors and wood wedges.

Erdem Fall 2011

Although Erdem stayed with its signature use of prints this season, the fall collection is completely different from the looks they showed in spring.  Erdem definitely opted for darker colors for the fall, and I adore the almost watercolor look to the dresses.  The second to the last look is definitely my favorite, and I love how they put long sleeves and high slits on floor length dresses, and played with the new knee-length look.

Erdem Pre-Fall 2011

I love Erdem's pre-fall collection.  Once again, they managed to create beautiful dresses that play with patterns and are form fitting but still classy.  Erdem is quickly becoming one of my favorite labels.

(also the model's uninviting face actually through me off of this collection for a little, but the key is to focus away from the hardness of her face and just admire the craftmanship of the clothing.)

London Fashion Week: Erdem Spring 2011

My apologies everyone for being M.I.A during London Fashion Week.  School hit me pretty hard this week, so I am just now catching up on all the gorgeous collections I missed.

I am going to start with Erdem because well, did you see the collection?  It's seriously stunning.

I love this garden party theme they have going on.  Although I'll be making a separate post for the shoes of London Fashion Week, I have to tell you the shoes for this collection were so great.  Some of the shoes tied up the leg and some were so pretty and feminine with lace details.

Favorite shoes from London Fashion Week

Some of my favorite shoes from London Fashion Week.  I don't know when this platform craze started, but these Acne shoes are crazy awesome.  The Erdem shoes are my favorite (I believe Nicholas Kirkwood did them).
