NYFW: A breakdown of the best shoes from Fashion Week
Here's some of my favorite shoes from New York Fashion Week. Derek Lam's gold Oxfords, Oscar de la Renta's Cinderella shoes, Preen's butterfly shoes and Rag & Bone's awesome clunky boots are just some of the high points from the runway. What are your favorites?!

NYFW: Urban Sportswear from Proenza Schouler, Rag & Bone and Alexander Wang
Three of my favorite collections from NYFW were Alexander Wang, Rag & Bone and Proenza Schouler. The longer I waited to review them, the more these collections grew on me. Wang's looks were hard and edgy, and the collection featured the huge trend of gloves and the boxy jacket style. Rag & Bone mixed patterns and layered like the best of them. I love the navy and the dark red jackets, and the shoes were to die for. Finally, Proenza Schouler's boxy jackets and leather details were stunning, and I have a feeling the metallic bird jackets are going to be the IT item on the streets of spring 2013.

NYFW Trends: Hello Sunshine
While red is fall's power color, get ready to start investing in some yellow-colored garments for spring. Yellow in all sorts of shades made a huge statement on the runways this season making appearances in fashion shows from the likes of Oscar de la Renta, Proenza Schouler, Carolina Herrera and Jason Wu. I am foreseeing yellow working its way into the prom dress circuit and along with the pastel trend, high school seniors could look like an array of sweet-colored candies come May. Anyway, back to the runway, in the words of Rachel Zoe, yellow totally "had a moment" this season, so what do you think? Will you be embracing the new it color or letting it pass by?

LOVE: Proenza Schouler Spring 2012
I am obsessed with the prints that Proenza Schouler chose for their collection this season. The dresses that mix the sold tops with the print bottoms are my favorites. I like their fun but grown up approach to style this season, I feel like it's more for the cooler lady than the cooler girl, which is awesome. Proenza is one of my favorite designers, and after such an amazing fall collection, I think their spring collection lives up to the hype of how great this duo is.

Dream Fall Look
I decided to create my dream look for the fall on Polyvore. It's not the most affordable look considering it's comprised of a Proenza Schouler skirt, Alexander Wang top and a rather expensive ring. However, the nail polish, the bag and the boots are pretty affordable. What's your dream fall look?

Fashion Evolution: Emma Watson from Sorcerer's Stone to Deathly Hallows
Emma Watson started playing Hermoine Granger when she was only 11 years old, and now ten years later, she is 21 and quite the gorgeous and fashionable woman. Here's a look at her red carpet style evolution starting with the Sorcerer's Stone and ending with her beautiful display in Oscar de la Renta for the Deathly Hallows.

CFDA Award Nominees: Who would you chose?
I don't envy whoever's job it is to decide who wins CFDA Womenswear designer of the year. It's such a tough decision because all the designers are incredibly talented, but I think I would pick Proenza Schouler for womenswear designer and Prabal Gurung for the Swarovski womenswear designer, although I would love to see The Row win.
Here's some of my favorite pieces from the designers fall collections.
Comment below and tell me who you would pick!

Target is re-releasing 34 looks from their designer collaborations in the GO International Designer Collective. Designers include Tucker, Libertine, Rodarte, Thakoon, Zac Posen, Proenza Schouler, Erin Fetherston and Richard Chai. The collection comes out March 13, and the dresses are priced under $50.
Here's a look at the dresses I'll definitely be checking out.

Hiatus is over!
OK, so I feel awful. I've left my blog untended to for a few days now at one of the most important times of the year: fashion month and the Oscars. Just when I was bragging that I had finally gone through all the New York collections, I completely fell behind with school and a trip to Miami.
However, I can promise I will be updating a lot in the next few days, and I am looking forward to Paris Fashion Week!
In the mean time, I'll leave you with photos from Interview Magazine of the men behind Proenza Schouler and Kasia Struss.

Proenza Schouler Fall 2011
Maybe you all were wondering why someone like me, who is clearly obsessed with everything the boys of Proenza Schouler do, has waited so long to post about their fall 2011 collection.
Well, there's a few reasons. First, to give you some insight for me, I got a job where I assist in archiving an architecture collection at school that takes up what are normally my "blogging breaks." Second, I've been bogged down with school. And last and most important, I wasn't sure if I liked it. However, as I suspected it grew on me, and now I adore how crazy-cool it is.

The prints are so interesting, and I love how they played with geometric designs. I think what caught me off guard at first was the mixing of patterns and how busy it can be, and I'll admit, I'm a minimalist at heart so some of these looks never quite hit a home run in my book, but overall, I'm loving the print dresses with simple silhouettes.

Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2011
As you all know by now, I am obsessed with Proenza Schouler. I think every collection they do is beautiful and unique, so it pains me to say this, but I really do not like the shorts they put in this pre-fall collection. They are an awkward length, and I don't even find them flattering on the model so I really don't think they would be flattering on the every day person.
However, that being said, I adore the dresses in this collection. They are form fitting and the patterns are beautiful. So, really, the gorgeous dresses cancel out the weird high-end surfer-like shorts.

Proenza Schouler Spring 2011
All the designers that I love have really taken a different direction this spring, and Proenza Schouler was no exception.
I am sure all of you can tell how much I love Proenza. I think they make clothes for the edgy girl with street style, and in my eyes, they can rarely do any wrong.
I was expecting urban wear with crazy colors, and well, all I got was the crazy colors.
That being said, I do love the new collection. It took me some time to decide how I felt about it, and with the exception of a few of the sheer dresses that I don't particularly care for, I am giving it two thumbs up.
I love the fact that they took chic workwear and made it edgy by redesigning the concept of a tweed suit and making it stand out with neon colors.
I am also obsessed with the weird rings the girls wore and the two dresses (possibly a shirt and long skirt) at the end of this post are so awesome. If I owned that blue one I'd probably wear it all the time.
I think they really showed an evolved style, and I admire that Proenza was able to step away from what they do so well and try something different.
